Winter sniffles and coughs
Jan. 30: run 4.05 miles
Jan 31: run 5.0 miles and weights (3 sets)
Feb 1: run 4.05 miles
Nada
Feb 7: run 4.05 miles
Nada
Feb 14: run 3.37 miles
I never get sick, but this year I've been sick twice. Blah. Sniffles, sinus drainage, pounding headaches, sore throat and coughing. I took a break from running and then the one day back killed my immune system. Since I couldn't breathe and I was on codeine I decided running was not a good idea.
Fast forward to today, where the sun is brilliant on the snow from this past Sunday's snowstorm. I don't care. I'm calling it a blizzard. It was brutal out there. The sidewalks are remarkably clean and well sanded. Woohoo City of Cambridge! It was slow going, but I managed to make my way around Fresh Pond. A guy passed me who was running slightly faster than my usual pace and it drove me crazy. Hey yellow coat! See I really can keep up with you if I had been able to run for the past two weeks. Ah well, time to reclaim some fitness.
